Bloom is an app that helps you learn Sorbian culture and language in a playful way. A minority language in Germany that is threatened with extinction. Bloom is a self-initiated project by me, Caroline Kasper and Cira Steiper.
The visual identity quotes colours and shapes from the sorbian culture in a contemporary way. We created a custome made typeface and illustrations inspired by sorbian legends and traditions .

Bloom contains four main functions: a translator, a chatbot, a videocast and a face filter.
The translator helps you saving vocabulary and getting the pronunciation right.
The Chatbot teaches to converse in sorbian by chatting like a friend would.
Through the videocast, sorbian locals show you the sorbian culture, traditions, recipes and more.
The face filter quotes traditional shapes and patterns you can share on social media.
